Phototherapy

Phototherapy

Phototherapy or Photobiomodulation – PBM – is defined as a form of light therapy that utilizes non-ionizing light sources, including lasers and light emitting diodes (LED) in the visible (400 – 700 nm) and near-infrared (700 – 1100 nm) electromagnetic spectrum. There is now a good body of evidence and reviews from published authors concluding that, provided an LED phototherapy device has the correct wavelength, delivers the correct power density and energy density, there will be a biostimulatory effect, beneficial for damaged cells anywhere in the body.

SUPER FEATURES

For home care I recommend the Photizo Vetcare it is an easy to use, hand held unit, which delivers a pre programmed dose of red light at 360nm, infra red and sound waves in both a pulsed and continuous pattern. For anyone who has found laser therapy has helped their pet the Photizo Vetcare is an affordable way to continue treatment at home, boosting immune system, maintaining pain control and to support veterinary treatment.

Life IS better with light. In my opinion anyway, I personally couldn’t live without my Photizo and Aah Lights, that might sound a bit dramatic, but I do use light therapy at some point every day, on my own ‘problematic‘ neck, and more recently, I make Red Light Therapy part of my daily immune boosting routine.
Always on me somewhere, in the car or out on walks to the great amusement of friends and family, I can produce a light for any emergency !

The therapeutic results obtained by laser can be matched by using the right LED device at home, it is a case of using the correct wavelength of light and frequency of application, delivered over a recommended period of time that produces the best outcome, which is great news for pet owners. as it is not always possible to invest time, financial resources or both with expensive clinic visits for laser therapy. If you have found a course of laser therapy effective, you can maintain ongoing results at home with Photizo Vetcare.

What Can Phototherapy be used for ?

As a qualified laser practitioner, I have worked for many years with class 4 lasers and other types of light based systems, I have studied and compared the therapeutic effects of laser, pulsed light and LED on musculoskeletal conditions, fascial therapy, stress reduction and to support skin health, in both animals and people.

Arthritis Support

The Photizo Vetcare device can be used as a homecare treatment in the multi modal approach to managing arthritis at home.
Arthritis is a complex disease that causes pain in bones and joints followed by muscle sysfunction. It can often go undetected for a long time as animals are good at hiding their discomfort. Unfortunately, it is not just a disease of the elderly as there are many contributing factors to this painful condition.
